This spectacular vessel features 42 sails and was inspired by the legendary German tall ship, Preussen. She was the first and remains the only five-masted, full-rigged sailing ship to be built since her German predecessor, which launched in 1902. Carrying a maximum of just 227 guests, the Royal Clipper offers plenty of space for guests to enjoy. There are three pools to dip your feet into on the top deck, while the interior holds an elegantly designed three-tier dining room and a range of cabins.

After boarding the Royal Clipper and getting a feel for your surroundings, you will embark on a nine-night sailing that will take you to some of the Caribbean’s most beautiful islands. You will also be able to visit the four islands that make up the Grenadines’ Tobago Cays. These islands, which collectively form a national park, may be deserted in terms of human interaction, but their surrounding waters are teeming with corals and marine life – which presents an ideal opportunity for snorkelling. 

Spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla are all in abundance on the island of Grenada. These tropical flavours and aromas will entice you to delve deeper into the landmarks and natural features of the island’s capital - St Georges - and the surrounding area. From St. George’s beautiful horseshoe-shaped inner harbour, you can follow the hand-built Sendall Tunnel to the Esplanade, where you will be provided with a spectacular view of Grenada.

The lush green hills and hanging coconut palms of St. Lucia are best highlighted from one of the Caribbean’s prettiest anchorages. Marigot Bay is surrounded by three steep hillsides, with the north side only accessible by boat. From here, you can admire the view, snorkel in the surrounding waters, travel through a volcano, or visit the Black Diamond Falls with its garden and waterfall.

As this epic journey continues around the Caribbean, you will also be able to visit the islands of St. Vincent, Bequia, and Martinique. Clipper ships were used heavily during the 18th century as a method of exploration and trade. In the 21st century, you can learn about a bygone era of travel while enjoying some of the most beautiful destinations on earth.
