There’s excitement in the air as TravelQuest has opened its third branch, this time in the town of Framlingham. So, with new branches, new staff and plenty of new reasons to look to the future, here’s what you need to know about the latest team members to join the family.
From 1st November 2019 we’re transforming the Framlingham Travel shop into a TravelQuest retail branch. When Thomas Cook Group and the attached Freedom Travel ceased trading, the store was left facing closure. However, we’re delighted to announce that it will now be part of our portfolio.
Michaela Woodburn, owner of Framlingham Travel, is coming across to join us and continue working in the travel industry. Here’s what she had to say about working for us:
“Fred. Olsen came to my rescue. What an amazing company –within two days, I had a new ABTA and back in business. I am so happy and very excited at becoming part of the Fred. Olsen family. Everyone I have spoken to has been so friendly and helpful and I look forward to seeing where Fred. Olsen will take Framlingham Travel in the future.”
Also joining from Michaela’s former team is Philippa Leah, who we’re also looking forward to working with. We’re thrilled to have kept Framlingham Travel open and provide further employment to the previous staff, who will now work alongside our TravelQuest Ipswich and Woodbridge shops.
The Thomas Cook collapse came as a huge shock to everyone, so we’re exceptionally pleased to have recruited three former Thomas Cook employees that’ll now help to enhance our own business.
On Wednesday 16th October 2019, Helen Jordan joined TravelQuest Ipswich as a Senior Travel Consultant. Having been one of Thomas Cook’s top sellers in the country, we are extremely pleased to welcome Helen into one of our amazing branches. She will be a great asset to the company and will help us to achieve our future growth plans.
Helen explained that TravelQuest gave her a fresh opportunity to carry on with the job she loves and that she is looking forward to working with a lovely new team, booking fantastic holidays again. She also hopes that her loyal Thomas Cook customers will find her at TravelQuest Ipswich and looks forward to meeting them alongside new customers.
Georgina Dale started a new chapter with TravelQuest Woodbridge on Wednesday 23rd October 2019. She hopes to expand her knowledge and inspire more people to travel. Having been an excellent, integral staff member at the Thomas Cook branch in Ipswich, she’ll bring some amazing experience to our Woodbridge team.
Our final new member to welcome to the team is Neil Hunting, who’ll be the new Framlingham Travel manager and will begin work towards the end of November. As the manager of Thomas Cook Ipswich for 12 years,Neil has great experience in creating and managing a successful branch and team.
This is what Neil had to say about joining the company: “Joining Fred. Olsen Travel needed no hard sell as their reputation, values and opportunities stood them apart from working for anybody else in the travel industry. I’m excited to be given an opportunity to continue to grow the newly acquired business in Framlingham and my aim is to get the store known for the quality of service we will provide.”
