With safari experiences at every turn, Kenya is the perfect choice for adventurers who want to see some amazing animals in their natural habitats. One of the best places in the country (and possibly the world) to do this is the iconic Masai Mara. This game reserve is the setting for the annual Great Migration, during which zebras, wildebeest and other animals travel great distances to reach fresh pastures, hoping to evade the capture of the lions, cheetahs and leopards that lie in wait. For the best chances of witnessing this, choose to travel between late July and October.
The Mara is not just about the animals that live here, though, it’s also about the Masai people that have tended these lands for hundreds of years. During our authentic tours, you may well get the chance to visit some of the Masai villages, learn the art of beading and meet members of the tribe.
Incidentally, a trip to Kenya doesn’t have to be all about the wildlife. The country is also home to the second highest peak in Africa, Mount Kenya.
