South Korea is one of the most dynamic and futuristic nations on earth, with many bright cities that mix with a vibrant culture and historic landmarks. Often overlooked by nearby Japan, this exciting nation has much to offer to visitors and our range of South Korea tours are the best way to see it all.
The nation’s capital, Seoul, is a fine example of blending cultural heritage with 21st-century skyscrapers and modern-day life. Here, technological advances are being made all the time, whilst colourful and traditional temples have been sitting in this city for more than 400 years.
Busan may be South Korea’s second city, but its turquoise coastline and golden beaches give it a distinctive contrast to the capital. As well as beaches, those looking to find a slightly more peaceful way to relax may find respite in the city’s hot spring complex, which is also the largest in Asia.
Directly south of the southernmost tip of the mainland and away from the hustle and bustle of the metropolises lies the small island of Jeju. This island is home to a range of stone statues, known as grandfather statues, which are thought to provide protection. It is also home to many fantastic geological landmarks including the Manjanggul Lava-tube and Gimnyeonggul Cave.
As Asia continues to grow as a popular cruise region, more and more ships are visiting ports in South Korea. Places such as Seoul (Incheon) and Busan are starting to appear on itineraries more often.
