Olivia Piotrowski

When did you start working in the travel industry? 

In January 2018 I started working for Fred. Olsen Travel Felixstowe on a Saturday and enjoyed expanding my knowledge within the industry. I was never able to study Travel and Tourism at school so therefore having this Saturday job was amazing. I then moved to TravelQuest Ipswich and I am currently completing an apprenticeship which is going really well and I'm loving every bit of it.

What is your favourite thing about your job?

Learning about so many different places and hearing amazing stories of where so many different people have been. I never knew how big the travel and tourism industry was.

Where would you like to visit next? 

I would like to go to Barcelona because I've always wanted to go and experience the Spanish culture, plus it is a beautiful city.

What is your dream holiday destination? 

I think it would be somewhere like the Maldives or Fiji, where I can just relax as well as explore the oceans by going snorkelling. Or maybe a cruise of the Caribbean, because I have never been on a cruise.

What has been your favourite holiday, which you have booked for a customer, that you would love to take yourself?

I haven't booked any holidays yet, but I would have to say Thailand which one of my colleagues booked for a customer. I've always wanted to experience their culture and see the amazing places it has to offer.

What were your favourite childhood holidays? 

I really loved Mexico because I swam with dolphins, which was something I had always wanted to do,and the food in my hotel was amazing.
